TAB Exchange — tab-now.com

This Cookie Policy explains how the TAB marketplace platform uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our applications. By using the platform, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this policy, unless you disable them in your browser settings.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, maintain your login session, improve your experience, and in some cases collect aggregated statistical information about how the platform is used.

Types of Cookies We Use

1. Strictly Necessary (Essential) Cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled without affecting core features. They include:

tab_session — Used to authenticate you and maintain your login session securely (httpOnly cookie). Valid for up to 48 hours from your last activity.
NEXT_LOCALE — Stores your interface language preference (Arabic or English) so content is displayed in your chosen language.
laravel-session — Used on the backend server to manage sessions and secure requests between the browser and our API.
XSRF-TOKEN — Protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks when submitting forms and requests.

2. Preference Cookies

These cookies remember your settings and choices on the platform, such as your preferred language and display options, so you do not need to reset them on every visit.

3. Analytics Cookies (Optional)

We may use analytics tools — such as Microsoft Clarity — to understand how users interact with the platform in an aggregated, non-personally-identifiable way, in order to improve performance and user experience. These cookies are not used to sell your personal data to third parties.

Essential vs Optional Cookies

Type	Purpose	Can be disabled?
Essential	Login, security, language	No — the platform will not work correctly
Preferences	Remember your settings	Yes — default settings may be restored
Analytics	Aggregated usage statistics	Yes — via browser settings or opt-out tools

Retention Period

Cookie lifetimes vary by type: login sessions expire after a period of inactivity (up to 48 hours), while preference and analytics cookies may persist longer depending on each cookie's settings. You can delete them manually from your browser at any time.

How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through:

Browser settings: Most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) allow you to block or delete cookies from the settings or privacy menu.
Clearing session cookies: Logging out of your account ends the tab_session cookie.
Changing language: You can change the interface language using the language switcher on the site; the NEXT_LOCALE cookie will be updated automatically.

Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using certain platform features.

Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services we use (such as Google or Facebook sign-in, or Google Maps) may set their own cookies when you interact with them. These cookies are governed by those providers' privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated last-revised date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
